Gilman Scholarship Application Deadline

The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad. The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding, and will participate in a study abroad and/or intern abroad program. The Gilman application is currently open for applicants whose study abroad or intern abroad programs start between May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025. This application cycle encompasses Summer 2024, Fall 2024, academic year 2024-2025, and Spring 2025 programs or internships.

The Gilman Scholarship application deadline is Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:59pm Pacific Time, and the advisor certification deadline is Thursday, March 14, 2024. All applicants will be notified of their status via email in May 2024. If an applicant is not selected for the March 2024 Deadline, they may re-apply for the next cycle in October 2024 as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
