Q&A

What led you to study abroad? Why did you choose your country/program?

I've always wanted to study abroad! London was always my favorite city and I've always wanted to explore on my own!

Describe a typical day for you abroad.

I would wake up and grab coffee with a friend before heading to class! Class would be a few hours (usually with a lunch break in between). After class, my friends and I would explore the city! We tried a bunch of food, went shopping, saw musicals, and so much more! Sometimes, the program would have events during the evening. One of my favorites was karaoke night!

What coursework did you take while abroad? How did courses abroad compare with Berkeley classes?

I took How the Brain Works and What Can Go Wrong as well as Fairy Tales and Their Retellings! I honestly really enjoyed the coursework. It's really concentrated but I enjoyed that both classes provided a really extensive history of both courses. I knew why I was learning each thing and everything was really well-structured.

What was the most memorable/meaningful aspect of your time abroad?

I made some of my best friends through studying abroad! My favorite experience was how easy it was to travel to other countries. I went to Ireland with a few friends I met through the program and to Paris and Barcelona to visit my big who was also studying abroad.
