Berkeley Programs Questionnaire
Depending on the program, courses may count as an elective. Please consult with department.
UCEAP Programs Questionnaire
For all majors, a maximum of two courses may be taken outside of the major and the courses must receive at least 3 units of semester credit from UCEAP.
Language majors (Chinese, Japanese or Korean): Language courses may be taken abroad and not included in the two course maximum. Language courses taken abroad must equal 3-4 units of credit. In circumstances where a combination of courses (typically in Japan) of 2 units may be combined to meet one equivalent language course.
For minors, only one course taken outside of the department may be used to meet an EALC minor requirement.
Students are encouraged to review the UCEAP Course Catalog. However, course options are not limited to courses in the catalog.
Students are encouraged to talk to the undergraduate adviser about their plans.
Students must speak with the undergraduate adviser to make arrangements for an evaluation. We ask that courses be or combine to 4 units or more, upper division, and arts and humanities based. Course descriptions and syllabi are needed for evaluation purposes. Students can submit course articulation requests online.
