What led you to study abroad? Why did you choose your country/program?

I wanted to try something new and experience education at two different schools/countries before I graduate and become less flexible about my schedule.

What was the most interesting cultural experience you had abroad?

Learning all the "british" words that were used was an intriguing experience.

What was the biggest challenge/concern of your study abroad experience? How did you respond?

It was hard to figure out transport at and around London at the beginning. I asked friends to see how they were handling it.

Describe a typical day for you abroad.

Wake up late, cook breakfast, do some work at home, go to the city center or shopping when I get bored, spent some time in the library and either head home or go out to bars.

What coursework did you take while abroad? How did courses abroad compare with Berkeley classes?

I took 3 CS and 1 business class. The courses were much lighter and followed a slower pace.

What was the most memorable/meaningful aspect of your time abroad?

Traveling around Europe and building a multitude of experiences was the most memorable part.

What impact did studying abroad have on you personally?

I learned how to cook better, now I invest more time preparing healthy food. I also learned how to live a slower paced life.

What would you recommend to students considering studying abroad, especially to your country or program?

I would strongly encourage them to do it. It is a fun experience and a good escape from the stresfull environment of Berkeley.
