Instructions for Language Evaluation Form

<== Back to Global Internships Paris

All applicants who wish to pusure an internship in French and do not meet the language prerequisite for the French track of the Paris Internship Program (five semesters of college-level French) are required to submit a Language Evaluation Form.

If you have taken a French course within the past year, ask the instructor of that course to complete the Language Evaluation Form.

If you are a UC Berkeley student and have not taken a French course within the past year or are a native French speaker, contact Daniel Hoffman in the Department of French at dhoffmann@berkeley.edu to make an appointment to complete the Language Evaluation Form.

If you are a visiting student and have not taken a French course within the past year or are a native French speaker, contact a French instructor at your home institution to make an appointment to complete the Language Evaluation Form. Once the form is completed, please have the instructor submit it directly to Global Internships.

You must submit a copy of your language evaluation by January 22, 2025 or you will be denied admission to the program.

You may upload the completed Language Evaluation Form as a part of your application, or submit the form in the "Upload Materials" section of your Berkeley Study Abroad application portal.

Please note that applications will be considered incomplete until the language evaluation has been submitted. Failure to complete your application does not make you eligible for a refund of the application deposit.
