BSA Student Assistant

Berkeley Study Abroad (BSA) is hiring Student Assistants to work part-time with study abroad related administrative projects. Reporting to the Assistant Director and the Peer Advising Program Coordinator, Student Assistants devote their time to marketing and outreach efforts, social media, digital materials, classroom announcement coordination, and event planning.

The pay rate is $16.32 per hour and is a position for Spring 2022. While any student is welcome to apply (no study abroad experience required), special consideration will be given to transfer students.

Student Assistant Responsibilities:

  • -Support Peer Adviser Lead and intake team with review of study abroad applications
  • -Coordinate and schedule classroom announcements for peer advisers
  • -Assist Peer Adviser Lead with data project for BSA data studio
  • -Assist with coordination of special events and outreach
  • -Create social media posts
  • -Develop digital flyers for BSA events
  • -Flyer on campus for special events such as Study Abroad Week, International Education Week, and the Summer Opportunities Fair
  • -Represent office in welcome receptions, community events, and fairs
  • -Other duties as assigned


Student Assistant Eligibility Criteria:

  • -UC Berkeley student
  • -Ability to commit minimum 8 hours per week, primarily 9 a.m.-5 p.m. M/Tu/W/Th/F
  • -Keen interest in administrative tasks, data analysis, and designing digital content.
  • -Previous office experience and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • -Experience with Canva and Google spreadsheets preferred.
  • -Available to begin the position by early January 2022.


Duration:

Preference would be given to those who can work from Spring 2022 - Fall 2022.
