Taipei is the largest city in Taiwan and has served as the capital of Taiwan since the Chinese Civil War in 1949. Situated on the Danshui River near the northern tip of the island, Taipei is about 25 km southwest of Keelung, its port on the Pacific Ocean.
During the program, you will live and study at Fu Jen Catholic University. Founded in Beijing in 1925 and re-established in Taiwan in 1961, Fu Jen is the oldest Jesuit university in the Chinese-speaking world. Today, the university has 11 colleges and more than 26,000 students.
Housing and Meals
During the program you may live in dormitories on the Fu Jen Catholic University campus or opt to live with friends or relatives in Taipei.

A comprehensive orientation will be provided both on the UC Berkeley campus as well as on-site. Orientation will cover various topics, including academics, local culture, health and safety, transportation, and more.
