Paris is the cosmopolitan capital of France and one of the most well recognized and influential cities in the world. Set on the river Seine in the north part of France, the city has expanded from its island settlement and is today one of the largest population centers in Europe.
An international hub of business, entertainment, fashion, and food, Paris has a diverse and multicultural population. The city is divided into 20 districts—each with its own character, landmarks, and attractions—that have earned Paris the reputation of being a multifaceted city. Its characteristic wide boulevards keep the city accessible, making The City of Light one of the most popular and visited destinations in the world
