Applicant will be notified of the award decision two weeks after the application submission deadline.

Important Clarifications

GLTS is a round trip airline ticket from AA. All seats are subject to availability and are issued to destinations AA serves directly.

Neither UC-Berkeley nor AA can guarantee students a ticket to the final destination or on the dates desired. In some cases, the ticket will be issued to the nearest major destination that AA serves directly. Students will be responsible for any costs associated with getting from this point to the final destination.

The scholarship is valid for travel on AA/American Eagle only, not other partner airlines or code share flights. Students will be responsible for taxes and fees on the ticket.

Date/time and routing changes after ticketing may be made if booking inventory is available. Students will be responsible for the change fee.

Tickets can be used only to/from cities AA serves DIRECTLY. To see cities served by AA, visit the AA website.
