Our general philosophy about advising:

We are committed to supporting your process of cultivating the skills you will need for your experience abroad. Key skills include systematic gathering of information, analysis of information, critical thinking and reflection in order to make the best use of the information you have gathered.

Ratio of Visitors to Staff:

Due to a large volume of visitors and a high ratio of visitors to staff, our drop-in advising capacity is limited to 10-minutes per student. During some of the day, a wait between twenty minutes and one hour is not uncommon. If you notice that several students are on the sign-in sheet ahead of you, you can expect a substantial wait, so please plan accordingly.

Drop-in advising

You will need to meet with an EAP adviser if:
  • After completing the EAP Self-Assessment, you have determined that you do not meet requirements such as overall GPA, language pre-requisites, or other program pre-requisites.

For all programs, you will need to complete a Self-Assessment Worksheet to determine if you are eligible to apply. Expect to spend an average of 2 hours researching each country of interest, in order to complete the Self-Assessment Worksheet for that country.
